(And yes, I am very pleased that ‘The Hurt Locker’ won for Best Picture as I hated ‘Avatar’ from start to finish…)

I also want to praise Sandra Bullok, whose acceptance speech for Best Actress totally made me cry. If you haven’t seen ‘The Blind Side’ yet, I highly suggest you do so.

Moving on to the evening’s gowns, I was quite pleased to see that aside from the usual suspects, many of the ladies decided to keep it modest. My favorite dresses were neutral and soft, complemented by more natural and fresh-faced make-up.

Kathryn Bigelow…I think I would have liked to see her in something a bit more elegant, but her look is still quite pretty.
