I find most of the “modest” wedding gowns to be boring and lacking originality, but when I came across Abigail Wright’s site, I was impressed by the designs of the gowns. I think where most modest gowns fall short is in the original design, but in AW’s gowns, I can see that there is a clear design direction with each dress, and the end result is gorgeous.
Westminster

York

Oxford

Nottingham

My personal favorites:
Lancaster

Canterbury

You can see the rest of the gowns on the Abigail Wright Designs website.

These are beautiful! My sister and I helped model some old wedding dresses a little while ago that had sleeves and they were still beautiful! Nottingham reminds me a lot of one of the dresses I modeled. It’s great to know that some people are still making wedding dresses that are stylish and modest!
Hi Sarah! Welcome to Modestia!
If you want to send me some of those pics I will totally post them.

Wow, gorgeous dresses!! I loved my wedding dress, but I wish I could’ve tried some of these on! I especially love the first one. So lovely.
The first one is stunning. I wish I had that option for my own wedding.
