you should wear it because being a woman automatically makes you unworthy to be in the presence of God without one.

I have worn a veil for th past 2 months. Have received nothing but positive comments. In fact, I've given your list of chapel veil links to several other women. Hopefully it will start a trend. I'm far from being perfect, but totally humble before God.

I actually want to... but I feel kinda like it would just draw more attention to me in my current parish, which is the opposite from what it's meant to do.
Also, to be honest, I don't feel like I'm 'good enough' to make such a gesture. Like doing something like that would make me stand out as unusually pious at my Church when I'm sure I'm one of the worst people there! I don't feel worthy of it.
As it is, I try to wear smart clothes and I tend to tie my hair back in a bun so it's not very 'visible', as it were.

Having said all that, I think it's a great choice if you do it!

God bless! :)

Yes I wear a veil, but I am not Catholic. :-)

Dear one, if the Lord has placed it on your heart to cover, then by all means, you go right on ahead and don't worry about all the 'what if's'.

I don't see how headcovering would be a distraction. The Catholic church held on to that aspect of the Bible for YEARS and it was only recently, in the past 30-40 years that women stopped covering. I think I read something about it happening with Vatican II, but I could be mistaken.

We as Christians shouldn't be worried about what others might say about us. We aren't put on this earth to please them, we were put here to be that shining light for Jesus Christ. :-)

You can do this girl! Do it for the Lord! <

A covered sister in Christ,
